Chicago is the sketch and improv capital of the world. Between the numerous comedic acting schools (such as the Second City Training Center and iO Chicago Training Center) and dozens of theatres devoted full time to live comedy, there is an incredible amount of talent in all corners of the city. It’s no wonder Chicago has birthed comedic giants such as Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Bob Odenkirk, Steve Carrell, Chris Farley, Tim Meadows, and *your name here.* And it’s no wonder Lorne Michaels and his scouts from SNL make an annual recruiting trip to both iO Chicago Theater and Second City.

Laughing Parrot
Cherry enjoys performing comedic improvisation in the theater contained in Tina’s apartment. Cherry’s other hobbies include singing, throwing food, conversing with others, snuggling with any willing participant, and 19th century English literature. Cherry can be found joining in any laughter heard live or televised, and is currently teaching his best friend Ollie the joy of laughing. Cherry can also be found here.

When Tina discovered Second City’s improv program last year, her willpower was suddenly stripped away. Now she is compelled through some divine force to become completely ensconced in live comedy. She is currently begging this divinity to let her properly finish her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Fortunately, photography can be ever-so-pleasantly, delicately, and mintily meshed together with participating in, viewing, and writing about live comedy. Alan has been writing ever since he forged his first excuse to get out of French class in the seventh grade. In the intervening years, he has published hundreds of magazine articles and not published an equal number of poems, songs, comedy sketches, TV scripts and memoirs.
