Looking for laughs this weekend? Stand-up comic Lenny Schmidt is back in town headlining Zanies Comedy Night Club at 1548 N. Wells St. An alum of the famed iO, formerly known as ImprovOlympic, Schmidt hails from suburban Bolingbrook, Illinois. A talented comedian and actor, he now lives in Los Angeles, where he has appeared in several hit television series such as True Blood, Bones, NCIS, ER, Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, The Closer, and Big Love, as well as several films, including Joe Dirt and The Ugly Truth.
You’re not gonna wanna miss this! Schmidt’s got four shows remaining with appearances at the club set for Saturday August 28th at 7:00pm, 9:00pm, and 11:15pm, in addition to one on Sunday August 29th at 8:30pm. Tickets for the Saturday show are guaranteed by advanced purchase only. Doors open early and it’s a good idea to get there about 45 minutes beforehand.
